NRS to Launch Rev360: The Dawn of ‘Tax Administration 3.0’ in Nigeria

The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has officially announced the upcoming launch of Rev360, its next-generation revenue administration platform, scheduled to go live on April 30, 2026.

Editor’s Note: The official Rev360 portal is now live. For a detailed walkthrough of the new system, see our [Step-by-Step Guide on How to Login, Register, and File on Rev360].

This development marks the transition into “Tax Administration 3.0,” an era defined by end-to-end automation and the embedding of tax processes directly into the natural systems used by taxpayers.

Under the leadership of Executive Chairman, Zacch Adedeji, PhD, the NRS is moving away from the “TaxPro Max” era toward a more intelligent, real-time ecosystem.

1. What is Tax Administration 3.0?

Unlike previous systems that required manual data entry, Rev360 is designed for real-time reporting.

This means tax compliance will become “embedded,” potentially syncing directly with business accounting software to reduce the need for physical filing.

The NRS Management stated that this shift will enable faster processing and improved decision-making for both the Service and the taxpayer.

2. The Phased Rollout: Who is First?

To ensure stability, the NRS is adopting a structured, phased approach.

Phase 1 of the implementation will focus on Medium and Emerging Taxpayers.

The Service confirmed that a successful pilot has already been completed, and comprehensive training and stakeholder engagement are currently underway.

3. Building on TaxPro Max Gains

While TaxPro Max introduced electronic filing to Nigeria, Rev360 is the “integrated and intelligent” successor.

The platform aims to strengthen institutional capacity and align Nigeria with global best practices in fiscal transparency.

4. Preparation for Go-Live

Taxpayers within the “Medium and Emerging” categories are urged to watch for upcoming communication from the NRS regarding training and onboarding.

The April 30 launch represents a key milestone in the Service’s journey to enhance taxpayer confidence and support national development.
